Pastors’ Welcome

Dear Friends of Grant E-Free Church,

On behalf of our congregation, welcome to our site. We are happy to share our church with you. Our church family loves God and we love one another. We exist for God’s glory. We believe that God has created us to have a relationship with Him through knowing and loving Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. Our goal as a church is to bring God glory through vibrant, growing relationships with Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. We strive to bring God glory through the faithful teaching of His Word, singing together, praying together, and loving Him while loving one another. We strive to make mature disciples of Christ as we work in the gifting and power given us by the Holy Spirit. We consider ourselves desperate to know and enjoy God! Our focus is Jesus! Our treasure is Jesus!

We would love to have you visit us and worship with us. If you are in the Grant area—please join us in worshiping Jesus as Lord. If you have questions or would like encouragement to seek Christ as the One and only Savior and Lord—please call us; we would love to talk with you.

In Christ,

Pastors Russ Gaar &

What to Expect

It is our desire to help visitors understand what worship looks like in our church. Our services are characterized by a reverence for the Bible and the great doctrines of the faith, joyful corporate singing, and friendly interaction with one another and our guests. After you get a taste for our church by the following descriptions, come see us live them out as we gather together to praise our God.

We are a church that consists of all ages of members including many young families. Our congregation has many young children! Sunday morning attendance is between 150 to 200-plus people. The dress is very casual and relaxed. People are friendly; but, don’t be afraid to introduce yourself

Our morning service starts at 9:00am . The music we sing at Grant E-Free is a blend of old and new. We love both contemporary praise & worship and the doctrinally rich hymns. Our congregation loves to sing praises to our God! You will see scripture readings and prayer compose part of the singing time. Congregational singing, which emphasizes the body of Christ singing praises to God with one voice, makes up the majority of our music. We will occasionally include special music as well.

Preaching at Grant E-Free is expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage. The pastors generally preach through books of the Bible; but also, on occasion, will approach topical series. Sermons are designed to move the heart and mind to know God and want God! All preaching (regardless of the passage or topic) at Grant E-Free points to Jesus and his Gospel.

After Service

A typical service finishes around 10:30 am. Light refreshments in the Multi-purpose Room immediately follow the service to encourage fellowship. At 10:45, we begin our Sunday School time for all ages. We value Sunday School as an opportunity to engage all ages in more intimate discipleship and life-on-life relationships.
